Hi Everyone! 👋👋👋
We're going to make this plain and simple.
We need ideas for a challenge for our members.
Prize should be a 3-D printed version of the winning model.
It may be going to take place this December this year
OR next year 2020.
We'd love it if everyone would go ALL IN on the comments and give the best ideas you can think of

Go!
Too many drones in the sky. Philippines has a longer coastline than the entire United States. Under the lurking waters of our country lies artifacts, treasures and historic shipwrecks of the past century such as the battleship Yamato. The challenge is to design, build, test and deploy an autonomous underwater drone that has (1). multiple 3D cameras with recording, (2). a bright enough LED floodlight in white, red, blue, ultraviolet and infrared with the camera to match (3). multiple grappling arm and (4) capability to reach at least 2,000 feet with tethering for power and signal on only two wires (HD powerline signal carrier). Who knows what is waiting under the lurking water at that depth? Solidworks and SolidCAM and/or Inventor Pro and HSM works for the mechanical parts and for the electronics, we can use Altium Designer, Proteus 8+, or Eagle (now owned by AutoDesk). Can we call that a challenge?
Hello @John !
Thank you for reaching out to ask :)
Unfortunately, This was suppose to happen earlier this year but then pandemic happened so most likely, it will be moved on another schedule. We will be keeping you all posted if the day comes. But for now please do continue on sharing your models and do share them on the following discussions to be featured on our social channels.
Best,
Rio
