I read that keyshot is cpu based software but every time i work on it, they work both cpu and gpu.Am i mistaken about cpu based?
It is CPU based. Key Shot does not access the GPU. If you are running any Adobe product at the same time Key Shot is active, the Adobe product will access the GPU
That's the thing,i am running nothing except keyshot.
The GPU will be used, just like any application or even just Windows, to redraw the screen. But when it comes to processing or rendering the images, Keyshot will only use CPU to do this.
I agree that Keyshot is CPU based. But, there appear to be some portions of it that utilize the GPU.
If you review the minimum system requirements, there is a note at the bottom which reads:
** While KeyShot doesn’t require GPU for rendering, certain UI elements in KeyShot require a GPU with support for OpenGL 2.0 and up
But this can be handled by nearly any graphics card. There would be little, to no benefit in have a $5,000 GPU in a computer running Keyshot.
Edit: Sample
It uses GPU to render the image on the screen like any other app, but all the calculations are made by the CPU
sorry gys it might not be our topic but witch's better keyshot or 3ds max
