Are there any Software Defined Radio (SDR) Amateur Radio Antenna designers out there ?
Hey I was just wondering if there are any Software Defined Radio (SDR) Amateur Radio Antenna designers and what broadband antennas that they are using ? Thank you !
Recently i added Digital modes of Radio Communication links that are used to connect to TCP/IP connections and SDR is another format that Radio is being transformed into the Digital Age that we are living in now.
Be sure to include any comments on other digital modes that you may be using even if it's not SDR or Digital Radio.
Thanks a lot for replying !

Hey, an antenna is an antenna, no matter if you are using an SDR or any other type of radio.
For receiving on the HF bands the T2FD should work fine, it has some losses up to about -10 dBi on some frequencies, but generally it will work. If you want to receive above 50 MHz you can use a discone, it's a great broadband antenna.
By the way, I am a ham myself.
