I currently looking for job as a design engineer or internship in mechanical designing.
so plz guide me to grow in this field.
Thank you
Best Regards,
Osama Shaikh.
My educated guess: send an open application to various companies who are active in or directly related to automotive industries? Most car manufacturers outsource their parts design & production to (sub)contractors, so there should be plenty to approach.
Secondly, if not done already, create an account on LinkedIn and emphasize that your open to job opportunities and your aim is to work in automotive(-related) areas. Start looking for companies that fit the description above. And start following them prior to sending out your open application. And as many companies outsource their recruitment as well, approach those recruiters as well.
Oh, and finally, be honest in your resume. Emphasizing your talents and skills is perfectly OK, but don't spice it up like some people do on LinkedIn and other social media platforms. One day it might hit you like a boomerang.
Thank you for your response.
I have already apply by linked in and by putting Email directly to HR but there is no response from e-mails.
As I have made mistake that is I put 6 months in front end web development and during that i lost my campus placement, other students got placed and got respected package from companies, so what should i do now...
Hello Osama!
When you are very young, it seems that you have little to show in a CV, so you make the mistake of mentioning things that may not be of interest to recruiters. They know that someone who has just graduated surely does not have specific technical experience or expert use of tools (such as CADD-CAE...) and that is what they are looking for: a person whom they can train according to their needs.
I tutor many students who want to study and work abroad, leaving a third world country (Argentina) and a poor university. Yet they are all successful.
I'll give you the advice that I give to all of them: if you're interested in a particular industry, and even certain types of jobs within it... do some "intelligence task." Search their web portals for some reference works, because they usually have active research personnel (who are very strong references and the company boasts of them) and they also tend to maintain links with universities.
Try to have access to a paper from one of the leaders of that industry and/or university, which gives you an idea of their deepest interests/ambitions. Study it as if it were someone you admire and value their work.
Finally, most importantly, he elaborates "some personal project" that has to do with his area, however small it may be, and that expressly cites his research or industrial development work.
You will use it (very modestly...) on your cv to show that you are very serious about that industry and that particular area. When you arrive at the interview and are given the opportunity to say what you aspire to... you will be able to express your interest and "some knowledge of the advances" that have been made in that particular industry, which you want to access to develop yourself. I can assure you that this works very well!
PS: if you have doubts about what to do as a project or how to carry it out, I can give you some tips.
first of all thank you for support and guidance and yes please give some tips about what to do as a project or how to carry it out.
Hello, I can gladly guide you:
1. Search for your "desired company" as a place of employment
2. Investigate their "lines of development and research"
3. Define your topic or topics of interest or specialization
4. With the above information, we talk about the subject again to define "a possible personal project" that is in line with the objectives of that company!
yes i got a broad idea of your sayings.
1st point is clear I already select desired companies.
2nd point & 3rd point i want to work on....
after that i surly contact you for further discussion thank you for this information I stay connected with you...
Very good! I will be very happy to collaborate in your search. Kind regards!
first of all thank to all of you for giving me such information.
And I wanted to let you know that I got selected at Precihole Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. as a Management trainee - design
Precihole Machine Tools is one of the worlds leading Deep Hole Drilling and Hole finishing Solutions provider with a global presence in various industries like Defense and Firearm, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical Implants, Seamless Tube Manufacturing, Energy, Die and Mold, Hydraulic Cylinders etc. (https://www.precihole.com/) You can check wide range of machine on their website.
they said that generally training period is about 1 year but if your performance is good then it can be over in 6 months.
Very good start in your career. Please concentrate on engineering things for your first 2 years and keep updating your skills technically.
my suggestion is nowadays while im searching for automobiles based jobs they are asking for creo , catia in most of the MNC's. So learn that.
After 2 years of working in a same software it is very difficult to learn a new one.
yes after 2 year it is difficult...
i will start working as soon as I am get familier with companies flow
Because the first 2 years you have to mainly concentrate on engineering terms but you can learn and practice other softwares after working hours.
That will help you to move to next level easily. If you have passion in this field then do this orelse you can switch into some IT courses as a fresher it will be easy to enter in that. Money matters always.
