Can you import a PDF drawing into inventor and then work on the face of the drawing?
We receive customers drawing and they only give us PDF's. I then need to create framework drawing and need to number the dimensions for inspection documents. I want to be able to put these PDF's into inventor and then work on the face of this drawing.

If you want the PDF pasted on an Inventor face or surface you have to do this. First you need to have office with excel 2013 select a box and choose the select screen command, where under excel you will have your pdf open, paste it in the excel cell and save. Now you can use the decal command which imports ecxel files in addition to images. hello Luigi
