COMPONENT LIBRARY

GOOD AFTERNOON.
OVER THE YEARS I'VE BEEN CREATING SEVERAL ARTICLES THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE THEM AS COMPONENTS OF THE AUTODESK INVENTOR LIBRARY. IS THERE THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDING COMPONENTS TO THE EXISTING LIBRARY? IS THERE ANY WEBSITE WHERE I CAN FIND MORE COMPONENTS? EXAMPLES: WHEELS, METALLIC/ALUMINE GAUGE....

THANK YOU ALL

I would strongly recommend you create your own libraries and not modify in any way the existing Inventor libraries. That includes part, material, appearance etc. The existing libraries have a bad habit of becoming corrupted when being upgraded to new Inventor versions if they have been modified.

Think about the upgrade process. Autodesk may have made new additions, deletions, and other changes to the libraries. During an upgrade, somehow your changes and additions must be migrated and merged in with their changes. It's a process that the upgrade installation will attempt to handle automatically. Unfortunately it often leads to data corruption.

Let their libraries have a fresh start with each upgrade. Your libraries only have to be migrated to the new release. Keep the two separated.

By creating your own library you have complete control over it. You know exactly what's in it. You can name it as you please. Copy it. Back it up. You can distribute it to others without affecting any of their other libraries.
