Do CATIA v5 make use of custom HOTKEYS?

Hello GrabCAD Community!

I would like to know if CATIA V5 users make use of custom keys. I have seen that the vast majority of users only use the default Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y.

I also am curios if anyone managed to add simple hotkeys such as L for line, when ever I add single keypresses, the letter will be added to the command bar from the bottom right corner. Therefore I have set up my hotkeys as Alt+D for Constraints, Alt+C for Circle, Alt+R for Rectangle and Alt+L for Line within Sketcher workbench.

Looking forward for your reply regarding this!

Good discussion and some good CATIA tips in your video tutorial!

As a long-time CATIA user (and sometimes teacher), I do not use CATIA hot keys. I prefer to click on the icons in the toolbars.

Occasionally, I will use the command prompt (c:helix) to add a helix curve without having to change workbenches.

With CATIA and many other apps, i often use Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.

Another shortcut I use often is Alt+hexcode for special characters Ø, °, and ±
