how can i perform finite element analysis on a ship hull in solidworks
I have a ship hul in igs format. i need to perform FEA for strength analysis of that hull. cant find any tutorial about it. i would be glad if someone would be kind enough to show me the way or at least link for learning the way.

Yes bro the hull is the surface model of a frigate. As I have not yet completed with my load calculation that's why the thickness is not yet confirmed.
And again thanks for taking so much pain and correcting my model. Saying thanks would not be enough. This is part of the project that I have to complete by October. For Military threat analysis calculation I have to perform fea on my model but whenever I imported the file to solidworks the surfaces didn't patched up. However I ll let u know aboit the model nd will b knocking u for further advice. U R great. :-)
