How to make a pattern on a whole body or on multiple surfaces without using the repitition function ?

hello so i tried to make the pattern using rectangular and user defined pattern but it's not very useful because i have to modify manually wherever there is an abnormality , is there a function in which you can for example you save a pattern for reuse and limit it so that it never surpasses the surface ?

I'm no Catia expert so feel free to ignore the following advice as it is worth exactly what you're paying for it...

Perhaps there is 'similar' functionality; Catia vs NX... in NX I would try to figure out what the length of this feature batch is going to be. The value would be a 'length' measure stored as an expression. Granted, it is going to change with any update that changes the surface it's driven on so you will need to drive your feature geometry with equations. That means, either the circumscribed hex cell diameter gets larger/smaller and/or the wall thickness between cells. Since the wall thickness is important, I'd figure out the thinnest permissible and lock that value. Then, only the hex size changes.

You're back to patterning based the length (expression), count and type--in NX, this is "along" but is probably something similar in Catia. Test to see what breaks.

You could perhaps do this using a powercopy.

You can learn about powercopies in our CATIA V5 Advanced Training course.
