i have downloaded a STEP file from GrabCAD but cannot open this file in FreeCAD
I have downloaded a few 3D STEP files from grabCAD but when I open FreeCAD and try to import the files they don't show up.

Hello Hamza, I just opened this very good model of a 4 jaw chuck: Machine Chuck 4 jaws and another good model of an Arduino:
Arduino Uno R3 Clone Full Detail
with FreeCAD 0.18 without any issues. A more complex model of a Honda CBR 600 engine failed to open, or import, for me also. I suspect an issue with FreeCAD and certain complex files.

The gist is that not all commercial software have an error-proof exporting functionality.
