Logical Explaination required about file size of catia product compared with part file size.
While handling bigger assemblies, I usually find a question,
how the product file size becomes smaller even though containing no. of parts?

It is usual that part file contains the operations like pad, pocket and like that. So when you assemble those part i,e., parts are constrained through constrains. Which means that only constrains are stored in some format relative to parts. So that is why catia product will not open without part.
Are you asking why an assembly file size is not the sum of all its parts?
