Othet than placing stickers, is there a different method to create the text on cylindrical surfaces and apply pad feature to it?

Instead of using pad, you should probably use "thick surface" in gsd. Draw the words on a plane, project it on the cylinder, then split while keeping both sides. Thicken the split letters.
