Solidworks thread with changing wide
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a way to model a thread that in few turns changes the width of the crest
(respectively the root) but the pitch stays the same. I'm attaching a pdf of the model for easier understanding.

Draw 2 helical paths. One with the pitch slightly finer and the other with the pitch slightly courser. Each should have the same start point. Do a Swept Cut (of your small cut profile) along each path.

I tried your approach but didn't get satisfactory results. The issue I'm facing is that the pitch changes (while I'm aiming to have a constant pitch) and the width is not decreasing slightly. Probably I'm doing it wrong.
I will be very grateful if you can make a quick model of your idea and share it with me to solve this issue.
