SW2018 Mate Controller Animation Not Working

I am trying to use Mate Controller to create several positions of a robot assembly and ultimately create an animation of the robot picking up a block and moving it to another location. I have closely followed the steps set forth from multiple online tutorials but am not having any success. When toggling between the various positions I have created, the 'Limit Distance' mate parameters are correct, but the robot does not visually update positions as it should. See two screenshots from the Mate Controller manager, showing Positions 'A' and 'B', respectively. In this instance the 'X' dimension value varies between 550mm for 'A' and 1450mm for 'B', with no other mates in place to constrain this movement.

Wondering if there are any particular settings that need to be configured for this to work on my machine? I am fairly certain everything has been done correctly with mate setup.

The only reason I could think of is that you forgot to use the "Update Position" button after editing the values of your mates, so the positions just remained as they previously were and didn't change.
