To be a professional in the Field of Design in the Aerospace/Aeronautical Industry, what are the software you should be thorough with and what are the different workbenches that you should be aware of?
The steps you should take to become a professional designer in Aero Sector
Mainly CATIA V5 with specialisation in part design, assembly design, sheet metal, and drafting. For MECHANISMs some might check with DMU kinematics or assembly simulations for clash between parts. Other similar software's used are Creo , solidworks and Nx. This is mainly the internal assemblies and structure.
Also for the outer complex outer parts like wings and tail fins with complex profiles or aerodynamic sections we need to be expert in surface design and then convert this into part design by successful thickening.
