I AM REVISING MY CATIA GSD CONCEPTS. LOOKS LIKE I LEFT OUT THE MAJOR TANGENCY CONDITIONS COMMANDS

tangency conditions are imposed to make sure that the curve remains tangent to the surface so in that way you do not see any sharp edges between the two surfaces
