What is wrong here?
I'm trying to unite the inner body with the outer one. But the moment i unite, the inner body get trimmed.

Make sure "Keep Target" & "Keep Tool" are unchecked.
You'll need to set your Unite fly-out to "more options" to see these. When in doubt, always check the expanded options.
