CATIA V5 - Hide/Show - the part is still not visible?

If you used CATIA V5 for an extended period your probably tackled this problem.

    Along the elements presented within the video there are the following reasons why a part might still be not visible after you have used the Hide/Show command in CATIA V5.


    The part is hidden in the Swap Visible space. This is a special space where hidden parts are stored. To show a part from the Swap Visible space, you can right-click on the part in the specification tree and select Show from the context menu.

    • The part is hidden in a subassembly. If the part is hidden in a subassembly, you will need to open the subassembly and unhide the part from there.
    • The part is hidden in a reference part. If the part is hidden in a reference part, you will need to open the reference part and unhide the part from there.
    • The part is hidden in a feature. If the part is hidden in a feature, you will need to open the feature and unhide the part from there.
