CATIA V5 - How to use the measure tools
CATIA V5 provides three main measure tools: Measure Between, Measure Item, and Measure Inertia. These tools allow you to accurately measure various aspects of your CAD model, such as distances, angles, lengths, areas, and volumes.

Measure Between
The Measure Between tool serves to determine distances between distinct geometric entities within a CAD model. It facilitates the measurement of distances between points, lines, edges, faces, and other features. Users can specify whether to measure the shortest distance or the maximum distance between the selected elements.
Measure Item
The Measure Item tool concentrates on measuring individual geometric entities within a CAD model. It enables the measurement of various characteristics, including:
- Length: Measures the length of lines, edges, or segments.
- Radius: Measures the radius of circles or arcs.
- Diameter: Measures the diameter of circles or arcs.
- Angle: Measures the angle between two lines, edges, or planes.
- Perimeter: Measures the perimeter of closed curves.
- Area: Measures the area of faces or surfaces.
