CATIA V5 - Shape Sculptor - Flood Select and Invert Select
Flood Select and Invert Select are two important tools in CATIA V5's Shape Sculptor feature.
Flood Select allows you to select all the entities within a specified area, regardless of their type or geometry. This can be a useful tool for quickly selecting a large number of entities, such as all the faces of a solid or all the edges of a wireframe model.

Step 1: Enable Flood selection
Click the Flood Select button in the Shape Sculptor toolbar.
Place your cursor over the area you want to select and click and drag to create a selection window.
The entities within the selection window will be selected.
Invert Select is a complementary tool that allows you to select all the entities that are not currently selected. This can be useful for deselecting a large number of entities or for selecting the opposite of what you have previously selected.
To use Invert Select, follow these steps:
Click the Invert Select button in the Shape Sculptor toolbar.
The currently selected entities will be deselected, and all the other entities in the model will be selected.
Flood Select and Invert Select are just two of the many powerful tools available in CATIA V5's Shape Sculptor feature. With a little practice, you can use these tools to quickly and easily select and manipulate entities in your models.
