This is an intermediate level tutorial using surface features. I hope you will like that.

  1. Step 1:

    Draw profile on right plane.

    Perform Surface extrude.

Again sketch on right face. and perform surface extrude with same dimension.

    Time to perform Trim surface.

    Select Trim Type: Standard

    Trim tool: the Plain surface

select: remove selection and select the upper portion of the front curved surface.

Again perform Trim Surface and This time use Keep Selections and select top section of the back curved surface.

Now we don't need the extra surfaces. so we will perform Delete/Keep body.(you will find it on Insert>>features>>delete/keep bodies

  2. Step 2:

Select Front plane and sketch the profile. Perform surface extrude so that the surface intersect the pervious 2 surfaces.

  3. Step 3:

Select Right Plane and sketch the profile and perform surface extrude.

Its time to fill up the gaps.

    Select Boundary surface.

Direction 1 : 2 edges (Marked with sky blue label)

    Select: Tangency to face

    Tangency influence: 50%

Direction 2: Edge of the top surface(marked with purple label)

    select none.

    Select trim by direction 1.

Perform the same on the other side.

    Again perform Boundary surface.

Perform Knit surface with selecting all the faces.

  4. Step 4:

Sketch on the front plane and perform Extrude surface.

Again perform Trim surface. This time select Trim method: Mutual

Select Removed selections and select the excess surfaces.

Then perform Fillet on the edge with 10 mm radius.

  5. Step 5:

Now its time to create solid body from the surface. Use Thicken feature.

Select the body. We will thicken the body on inside. so select the 3rd option and give 3 mm thickness.
