How so make a component in an assembly a "Reference" in SolidWorks

I figured it out!

  1. Step 1:

    Go to the tree in the drawing, Choose "Component Line Font".

  2. Step 2:

    Then change the visible edges and tangent edges to the desired dashed line font.
