How to create an axis in SOLIDWORKS?

This tutorial will show you how to create an axis in SOLIDWORKS with a few different ways.

  1. Step 1:

You can find this tool under Reference Geometry.

  2. Step 2:

When you activate this tool you have different options to create your axis.Last option is for selecting a face and a point on that face and you can see how yellow axis will create when you finish the command.

  3. Step 3:

Two points/Vertices option is basically what it says, you just select two points and an axis will form from one to another.

  4. Step 4:

In the first option you can select some edge of your model and you will have an axis on it.

  5. Step 5:

And the last one, you can create axis by using planes in SOLIDWORKS.You can see what I have selected on the picture, what you need is two planes which intersect and an axis will form on the intersection point.
