How to create Boeing 737 NG wing with winglets

Follow my very first video tutorial on youtube , from start till last to make a 3D model of boeing 737 NG Aircraft wing using Autodesk Fusion 360.

  1. Step 1: To model wing ,winglets and movable ailerons.

  2. Step 2: Procedure to model wing:-

    To model wing: -

    1) Open new tab in fusion and select create sketch.

    2) Click on the bottom plane and draw reference lines as shown in video.

    3) Close the sketch by pressing finish sketch and again select create sketch then select right plane.

    4) Choose rectangle and draw with respect to the reference lines.

    5) Exit the sketch and choose insert canvas option from top bar

    6) Choose insert from my computer and choose the airfoil image.

    7) Click on and align the airfoil image with the rectangle edges and press ok.

    8) Remove rectangle by clicking on line and pressing ‘del’ from the keyboard

. 9) Click on create sketch and draw chord line for the symmetrical airfoil.

    10) Click on line command and from the edge draw 2 symmetrical inclined lines.

    11) From the edge of inclined lines choose fit point spline and trace the path.

    12) Exit from the sketch remove chord line and press extrude 0.1mm.

    13) Press ‘M’ and choose the extruded body and press create copy as shown in the video.

    14) Drag the copied airfoil over the required distance and choose scale from the bar and give scale factor of 0.6. then align it with the sketch.

    15) Choose loft and select 2 profiles to create skin

    16) Now press the edge of 0.6 scaled airfoil and again create a copy of it and drag it till the end.

    17) From end click on airfoil then give it a scale factor of 0.4 and align it with the sketch. And press loft.

  3. Step 3: Procedure to model winglets

    To model wingtip: -

    1) From the shorter part of the wing press ‘m’ on the keyboard, choose the airfoil, press copy and drag it outside.

    2) Choose the copied airfoil rotate It upside down and pull it upwards over some distance.

    3) Scale the pulled airfoil by giving a scaling factor of 0.5 and press ok then press loft. 4) Underloft select curvature G2.

  4. Step 4: To Model control surfaces

    For control surfaces: -

    1) Click on create sketch choose bottom plane and draw aileron shape. Then finish the sketch and choose split body option from the top bar.

    2) In split body, choose the body then select the lines then press ok. And give the split body a color for identification. Then do the same for all surfaces.

(Rest optional things are shown in the video)
