How to make a logo of a company in SolidWorks?

Tutorial for LOGO basics

1. Step 1:

   Invoke sketch on the front plane
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Sketch the base of the company's logo. For instance I wanted to make the logo of SAP which has a base similar to a quadrilateral as shown.
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Pad or extrude this to a certain limit as per your choice.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Sketch->text
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Select the face on which you want to place the text.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Follow the procedure shown in the figure. Use the font as per the requirement.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   Exit the sketch mode. Click on the text and use extrude or extrude cut to make a mark.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   This is another way. Select the face to create a sketch.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Make a horizontal construction line. This will act as the base of the text.
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Sketch->text
    

    

11. Step 11:

    Select the construction line as in the figure shown. Change the rest of the features as in the earlier step.
    

    

12. Step 12:

    Exit the sketch and extrude or extrude cut this text sketch.
