How to render LEDs light in Keyshot
Learn how to easily apply LEDs to any 3D model.
-
Step 1: Add emissive material
If you are trying to add light to a surface, change the material to emissive.
-
Step 2: Add color gradient
-
Step 3: Edit color gradient
Change the gradient colors. Choose a light tone and a darker hue.
Scale it,I used 5mm.
Set gradient type to either "cylindrical or Spherical"
-
Step 4: Change intensity
Edit emissive intinsity to more than 1.
3-5 worked for me.
-
Step 5: Bonus: Add light to a label
If you only need a label or specific image shape lightened, follow these steps.
Add a texture map, the map, "image", should be white.
Add a Color composite, and connect the Texture map to "Source" and "clipping mask"
Add a color gradient and connect it to "background". Scale it and change colors.
Beware, If you don't connect the image to "clipping mask" all the surface will contain the light.
To blend the color gradient correctly with your image, edit the Color composite and in Blend mode change to "Multiply"
Connect the Color Composite to Emissive "color".
Edit intensity:
This is how your final material graph should look like.
-
Step 6: Final result
Change the environment , to a darker one, and play with the emissive intensities.
See how a brighter environment affects the emissive intensity.
