In this CAD tutorial, we'll be learning about the physics behind a spherical Geneva drive. We'll be assembling the drive and learning about the mechanical principles behind it, so that you can create your own maltese cross assembly which you could 3dprint. If you're interested in learning about Fusion 360 and 3D printing, then this tutorial is for you! By the end of it, you'll have learned about the principles behind a spherical Geneva drive, and be able to assemble and create your own 3D objects using Fusion 360! I managed to animate the drive with Fusion 360. Watch the tutorial to find out how.

Close loop. Sometimes when you try to extrude or revolve a sketch, you only can select lines instead of a surface. This is a very simple example, it just explains how you can close a loop. You can see that the sketch is not fully constrained in the beginning. That is the first thing you have to check. In the beginning that you learn Inventor all your sketches should be fully constrained. I' am sure there are other ways to fix an open loop.
