-
Step 1:
Start SolidWorks in Part mode.
-
Step 2:
Tools >> Addins.
-
Step 3:
Check the SolidWorks Simulation and SolidWorks Toolbox.
-
Step 4:
Under Office products click Structural steel.
-
Step 5:
Select Front plane and the beam and click create.
-
Step 6:
Now we have the sketch for that particular beam.
-
Step 7:
Edit the sketch and move it to the center.
-
Step 8:
Under Simulation select New Study in Study Advisor.
-
Step 9:
In name type Bam and keep the default settings. Click OK.
-
Step 10:
Select front plane and input depth = 10000mm. Click OK.
-
Step 11:
Right click the part1 and apply edit material.
-
Step 12:
Select ASTM A36 Steel which is mostly used structural material.
-
Step 13:
Right click fixtures and select fixed geometry.
-
Step 14:
Select lower edge and click OK.
-
Step 15:
Select force under external loads.
-
Step 16:
Select upper edge and input force value 10000N.
-
Step 17:
Under run click create mesh.
-
Step 18:
Change mesh density to fine for better results.
-
Step 19:
Click run under run.
-
Step 20:
After solver is done we will have results.
-
Step 21:
