Tutorial - Generating drawing from the existing part in SolidWorks?

Here is the tutorial.

1. Step 1:

   Start SolidWorks and open the file attached. In case you have older version of SolidWorks open the IGES file attached.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Click file menu and select Make drawing from Part.
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Let's keep the default settings. The standard sheet size A0 (ISO). Click OK.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Select the Standard 3 view in view layout tab.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Click OK.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Now Solidworks has automatically generated the 3 views in first angle projection.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   Click projected view in view layout tab.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   Select the front view.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Now click in lower area of the sheet
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Now adjust it by draggin and droping.
    

    

11. Step 11:

    Click Smart dimension in annotation tab.
    

    

12. Step 12:

    The dimension property manager will show.
    

    

13. Step 13:

    Select Autodimension & keep the default settings.
    

    

14. Step 14:

    Click OK & the dimensions are generated but the font size is small.
    

    

15. Step 15:

    Select all dimensions by making a selection box.
    

    

16. Step 16:

    Select other in dimension property manager.
    

    

17. Step 17:

    Uncheck use document font and select font. Change height to points and select a larger value.
    

    

18. Step 18:

    Click OK and then dimensions font size is increased.
