Tutorial: How to model helix as sheet metal part?
Tutorial:

Step 1:
Create sketch of circle (in tutorial 400mm). this is outside diameter of our helix

Step 2:
Create sketch of circle (in tutorial 115mm). this is inside diameter of our helix

Step 3:
Create a Helix on outside diameter:
Insert / Curve / (Helix/Spiral)
Insert values for pitch (in tutorial 300mm), Revolution = 1 and chose you want clockwise or counterclockwise. -
Step 4:
Same operation repeat for inner diameter.
Remember to use same values as per outside diameter -
Step 5:
You have two curves representing inside and outside of the helix.

Step 6:
Create 3d Sketch.
Highlight Outside curve and convert for line:
Tools / Sketch Tools / Convert Entities
Close 3d Sketch -
Step 7:
Create second 3d Sketch.
Highlight Inside curve and convert for line:
Tools / Sketch Tools / Convert Entities
Close 3d Sketch -
Step 8:
Create Lofted Feature from two created sketches:
Insert / Sheet Metal / Lofted Bends
Set thickness of the helix and click OK -
Step 9:
You have created Helix as sheet metal part

Step 10:
Right Click on Flat-Pattern1 and unsuppress.
