Tutorial - Modeling Crank Shaft in SolidWorks?

This is tutorial on making crank shaft. The main problem with making such design is with reading the dimensions on the drawing sheet. Well i have solved it for you. In this tutorial we will go through simple extrusion operation to make crank shaft.

Step 1:
Right Plane>>Sketch.

Step 2:
Draw a circle of 120mm and 4 holes of 12mm at 42.5mm from origin.

Step 3:
Extrude it by 16mm.

Step 4:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 5:
Draw a circle of 50mm dia.

Step 6:
Extrude it by 40mm.

Step 7:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 8:
Draw this profile.

Step 9:
Extrude it by 22mm.

Step 10:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 11:
Draw a circle of45mm at 40mm from origin.

Step 12:
Extrude it by 35mm.

Step 13:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 14:
Draw this profile.

Step 15:
Extrude it by 25mm.

Right face>>Sketch.

Draw a circle of 45mm dia.

Extrude it by 35mm.

Convert the circular edge.

Extrude it by 25mm.

Convert the cirular edge from 4th extrusion.

Extrude it by 35mm.

Select the 3rd extrusion face and convert entities.

Extrude it by 22mm.

Right face>>Sketch.

Step 41:
Draw a circle of 45mm dia.

Step 42:
Extrude it by 145mm.

Step 43:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 44:
Draw a rectangle of this dimension with one point coincident on the circular edge at a distance of 4.5mm.

Step 45:
Extrude cut it by 100mm.

Step 46:
Right face>>Sketch.

Step 47:
Draw a circle of 28mm.

Step 48:
Extrude it by 28mm.

Step 49:
We have the crank shaft.
