How to 3D Print from Adobe Photoshop

16 0 Intermediate
Every sculpture, product, installation and building (successful and unsuccessful) starts with an idea. When it takes physical form, the designer gets valuable aesthetic and practical feedback. Here are some tips on when and how 3D printing can feed this process.

Tutorial - 2D Truss analysis in Mechanical APDL (ANSYS) Part 1?

3 1 Beginner
In general, a finite element solution may be broken into the following three stages. 1. Preprocessing: defining the problem; - Define keypoints/lines/areas/volumes - Define element type and material/geometric properties - Mesh lines/areas/volumes as required 2. Solution: assigning loads, constraints and solving; 3. Postprocessing: - Lists of nodal displacements - Element forces and moments - Deflection plots - Stress contour diagrams In this tutorial we will go through first step.

just be aware of that the question input as if ( speed , time , dimension ) is not real it mean you can't use it as academic project . i just wanted to show you the processing of cutting tools simulation therefore with alter input data you can use it as real project . for real input data you can use https://grabcad.com/library/cutting-tools-simulation-1

How to convert 2D BMP images to 3D STLs?

1 0 Intermediate
The basic principle is to take a regular 2D image (in BMP format) and translate the image’s gray shades into a 3D height map (Figures 1 and 2). The two-dimensional array (i.e. color) of each element is interpreted as a height value in order to store information on the height of each point. For example; the white points are flat, the gray points are higher and the black points are the highest. The following steps in this procedure were accomplished using Microsoft® Paint image viewing software and Materialise® Magics STL editing software, and make reference to the menu options in those applications. Other similar software programs may be used to accomplish this procedure.
