Facebook has just updated their new feature that enables 3D viewing in posts... This feature has been around for some time, but the new update supports the industry-standard glTF 2.0 file format. This allows us to share 3D content on Facebook, whichever the designing software used was. Here I'll show you how to turn your 3D files into GLB, the only extension Facebook reads till now. By the way, GLB file format is a binary form of glTF that includes textures instead of referencing them as external images, so don't worry about the output's quality.

While rendering with PhotoView 360, the Final Render might show your model cut - from below - as if a plane sliced through it, although the Integrated Preview (in SolidWorks) shows your model perfectly. Hi friends, welcome back to CADable. In this tutorial video we will learn about basics of SOLIDWORKS 2D DRAWING. I hope you like it. Here, I am using my previous 3d model (Practice Exercise 1) and its file is here: https://grabcad.com/library/practice-exercise-1-1 For making a 2d drawing, you need a 3d part, so i am using this model. Here, I have shown how to select sheet format, how to apply different drawing views from view palettes, how to apply automatic dimensions, how to apply manual dimensions, cross sections views, detailed views, isometric views, 3 standard views, dimensions with tolerances, basic, bilateral, symmetric, geometric tolerances etc. How to apply machining symbols, how to apply a text in 2d drawing. After creating the drawing, I have shown how to edit sheet format, applying a material, drawing name, title block, drawing name person etc. Lastly I have saved my drawing in PDF format and I also have checked page setup for printing the drawing. I hope you like it.

Learn How Four Bar Linkages Work | Grashof's Criterion | Four Bar Mechanism in SOLIDWORKS | CADable

In this tutorial we will learn how four bar linkages work. We will create and assemble these linkages in SOLIDWORKS. I will describe crank rocker mechanism (one complete revolution) and double crank mechanism (two complete revolutions). These four linkages are: 1) Fixed Link or Ground Link (q) 2) Shortest Link or Crank (s) 3) Longest Link or Coupler (l) 4) Remaining Link or Rocker (p) I have explained Grashof's principle on which these linkages work. s + l ≤ p + q I have also shown few examples. Some are: 1) Bicycle 2) Wiper Mechanism 3) Door Mechanism 4) Oil Well Pump 5) Locking Plier 6) Suspension Mechanism We will assemble these using simple mates (coincident and concentric). After assembling these link we will perform motion study in SOLIDWORKS Motion Analysis. We will give input at crank (20 rpm) and see the response on the output link (p).
