IME Technology Sdn Bhd is an established CAD, CAM and PDM technology provider in Malaysia since 1980. IME Technology specializes in 3D CAD Design, CAM, CAE as well as providing consultancy services, technical support, training and certification to Malaysian engineering and manufacturing industries and higher institutions of learning. As an Mechanical Engineering Intern, I was given the opportunity to work on the design and development of a roller coaster project, in which I was specifically tasked to generate engineering drawings for the various parts on this project. I was also able to deepen my CAD knowledge by learning more Solidworks tools like weldments, sheet metal design as well as performing FEA and CFD. I was able to carry forward this experience and apply it in my final year project which involved the design of a chainless bicycle drive train.

Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC) is an Automotive Manufacturing Company incorporated by Government of Uganda and Makerere University to champion value addition in the Domestic Automotive Industry for job creation and diversification of the economy. As a post high school Intern under the Mechanical systems department, I was able to learn and use CAD tools like Solidworks to design and develop car parts and mechanical systems from scratch as well as reverse engineering. During my time as an intern, I was privileged to have worked on the "Kiira EV SMACK" hybrid car project and "Kayoola Electric Bus" projects. This gave me an early exposure and invaluable experience which aroused my interest in mechanical engineering and CAD/CAE, even before I joined college.
