Work experience
Draughtsman & CNC Programmer
I change roles within the company every day as I'm only an apprentice. This allows me to get a more in-depth idea of the way that the company works and enables me to learn about each different position.
Draughtsman
Was a Draughtsman Apprentice.
Learning CAD and SOLIDWORKS within my job and also outside through my own external training (self study).
The apprenticeship should last a year, hopefully following on with a full time position within the same company... that never happened.
Telemetry Technician
Water Flow and Weather Based Telemetry.
Technical and On-Site Engineer.
My job consisted of programming RTUs (Remote Terminal Units) to prepare them for On-Site installations which I would also participate in as well.
Head Computer Engineer
Computer Diagnostics and Repairs on a daily basis. I also used to provide Remote Services to fix any software issues while I was still in the office. This was my first job when I left school and was the eye opener to the real world of work.
