Create a hole in a cylinder wall - 8 year old unresolved problem!

I am trying to create a hole in the wall of a piece of pipe. After searching I found out that this issue has been around for at least 8 years!
The solutions that I found via google are not working for me these are the two solutions that I have tried

The problem I am having with this solution https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3907&start=0#p30704 is that I am not able to select any of the lines on the pipe to constrain the additional drawing and when I create a sketch on top of the pipe it can only be padded downwards into the pipe which means that it can't be deleted after.
Surely after 8 years a feature has been added or simple method has been developed for creating a hole in the wall of a pipe?
Accepted answer

A crap program is not the problem. A lack of skill is. Freecad is a bit different being developed by many. This cad professional Joko Engineering seems to be able to really make use of any cad application and would be able to solve your problem, how to do this with freecad. Unlike many on this site, his skill set does not seem to be only limited to one or two programs, then rubbishing those they are not good enough to use.
Frecad is not rubbish just a bit rough around the edges still being developed but getting more and more useful all the time and it is free. To make purchasing one of the mainstream applications that are not cheap, justifiable, you need to sell a lot of work to get your money back. There would be many on this site using pirated software due to the high cost of a legal copy
Try messaging Joko Engineering as he probably is the best Freecad user you will find here. He is probably one of the better ones with any cad application.
