Help: convert this dxf/dwg file into a workable step/solidworks 21 or older file

Hello, I tried to convert this model into a step/solidworks model but the part is just impossible to works with.
There is so many face than I can't even remodel it because every single mouse click takes 2 minutes.

If somebody got a better way to transform this model into a working solidworks or step file I will be very happy.

Thanks

This is meshed model, you can't convert it to workable sldprt. And as it's meshed model, so open it like mesh to redraw (see attached file), it will be faster to work with. Also notice that dimensions are scaled (manufacturers scale their models to prevent copying).

Thanks, but working with STL did not make thing easier. The STL won't load as a solid body so I can't work on top of it because it is imported as a graphic entity instead.
I also tried to convert it again as a solid inside freecad, but I got again a lot if surface and the file is impossible to wotk with again.
