How do i create a thread on solid works 2011?

To do it properly, you need to draw a 'Helix', draw the thread profile and then do a 'Swept Cut'.
CREATE HELIX- CREATE THREAD PROFILE AT STARTING OF HELIX- THEN USE SWEPT CUT....THAT'S ALL
just make an helix sketch in the sketcher and then make the swept cut from the ribbon next to the sketcher tab.
