Catia V5 - How to use the Combine feature

Combine features enables to create geometry resulting from the intersection of the extrusion of two elements along two directions.
-
Step 1: Generative Shape Design
In CATIA V5's Generative Shape Design workbench, the Combine feature within the Wireframe mode allows you to combine sketches in various ways.
Open CATIA V5 and Activate Generative Shape Design Workbench: Launch CATIA V5 and switch to the Generative Shape Design workbench.
Create Sketches: Create the sketches you want to combine. These sketches can be on different planes or surfaces, and they can represent different features or parts of your design.
Select Sketches: Select the sketches you want to combine. You can do this by clicking on them in the specification tree or in the 3D window while holding down the Ctrl key to select multiple sketches.
Access the Combine Feature: Once you have selected the sketches, go to the "Operations" menu or the toolbar and choose "Combine" from the list of operations.
Choose Combine Type: In the Combine dialog box, you'll see options for different combine types such as Union, Intersection, or Subtraction. Select the appropriate type based on how you want the sketches to interact with each other.
Adjust Parameters (if applicable): Depending on the combine type selected, you may need to adjust parameters such as tolerance or direction. These parameters determine how the sketches are combined.
Confirm and Execute: Once you've selected the combine type and adjusted parameters (if necessary), click "OK" to confirm and execute the Combine operation.
