How to make multi-coloured renderings using Photoshop

You've - probably - came upon a model of yours that you don't know which colour suits, so you decide to upload renderings of both colours.
Here, I'll show you how to make a single rendering that shows the multiple colour variations you want using Photoshop.

  1. Step 1: What's the problem?

You've - probably - came upon a model of yours that you don't know which colour suits, so you decide to upload renderings of both colours.

    Believe me, Big mistake...

Let's take these 2 renderings as an example:

  2. Step 2: Importing into Photoshop

Open one of them in Photoshop, then open the 2nd and place it right on top of it.

Imported images are uneditable, so we'll have to Rasterize our 2nd image.

Just right click on the layer and click Rasterize Layer.

  3. Step 3: Making the Multi-coloured rendering

If the Polygonal Lasso Tool from the side isn't shown, click on the Lasso Tool to show the other lasso tools, then select the Polygonal Lasso Tool.

Now draw a trapezium cutting the model diagonally.

Press delete, then save your image.

You should end up with something like this:
