How to mirror 3D scans in Fusion 360

Mirroring a mesh model in Fusion 360 is currently not supported due to limitations in the software's ability to handle the complex geometry of mesh objects. However, you can workaround this limitation by using Blender

  1. Step 1: importing the 3D scan file

    As we can see, Fusion 360 doesn't allow the scaling with negative values on either X Y or Z axis to have the model flipped/mirrored.

    Therefore the best workaround is to use a free open software solution such as Blender that can rapidly mirror the 3D scan model.
