Presspull feature in AutoCAD?

A quick tutorial about Presspull feature in AutoCAD.

  1. Step 1:

Presspull command in AutoCAD is very similar to Extrude, there are few differences which I am going to show you.

The Presspull tool in next to extrude.

Advantage of Presspull is that your lines dont need to be joined like with extrude.

  2. Step 2:

Now I activated Presspull command and the only thing you need to do is to move your cursor inside your drawing and when it highlights just click and it will pull your object.

  3. Step 3:

Lets say that I want to make a hole inside this model,I drew a circle on a face and with extrude you would need to make another body, cylinder from the circle, then subtract it to form a hole.It is easier with Presspull but not always possible, sometimes you must use Extrude-Subtract.

Making cuts with Presspull is the same like I have shown in the previous step, you will just move your cursor in the circle (It needs to be highlighted) click and pull inside the object, that way the hole will be formed.

I hope this tutorial was useful :)
