tutorial 17= TRUSS analysis in ANSYS

Hello

1. Step 1:

   First you should change the (Jobname), follow the path
   Utility Menu >> FILE >> Change name
   In the opened window put the specific name
   

   

2. Step 2:

   In second step you should choose Certain elements.
   Utility Menu >>preprocessor >>Element type>> Add/Edit/Delete
   In old version we choose 2D Spar but for new ones you should choose (3D finit stn 180)
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Main Menu >> preprocessor >> Real Constants >> Add/Edit/Delete
   

   

4. Step 4:

   In this section we choose Unit system
   Main Menu >> preprocessor >> Material props >> Material Library selection
   

   

5. Step 5:

   put material details given by question.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   do not click on OK until last node, utilize APPLY instead of OK
   

   

7. Step 7:

   give these points information to ansys likewise previous picture
   

   

8. Step 8:

   Your points are ready for next step.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   In this section we want to connect node to each other. It is better to connect node in order by this I mean, for instance connect node 1 to node 2 , and node 2 to node 3
   

   

10. Step 10:

    we connect all node to each other and in subsequent step we want to give displacement details.
    

    

11. Step 11:

    As you can see in question's picture node (1) dose not have displacement in Y direction and node (5) dose not have any displacements in any directions.
