Tutorial - Creating Conic surfaces using shoulder curves in Creo Elements/Pro aka Pro Engineer Wildfire?

Here is the Tutorial.

  1. Step 1:

Start Creo element or pro engineer in part mode.

  2. Step 2:

Offset the top plane by 200mm.

  3. Step 3:

Offset the top plane again by 200mm but in opposite direction or input -200mm.

  4. Step 4:

    Select DTM2 and then Sketch.

  5. Step 5:

Draw a spline and exit the sketch.

  6. Step 6:

Select the Top plane and then Sketch.

  7. Step 7:

Draw a spline and exit the sketch.

  8. Step 8:

Select the DTM1 and then Sketch.

  9. Step 9:

Draw a spline and then exit the sketch.

  10. Step 10:

    Insert>>advanced>>conic surface and N-sided patch.

  11. Step 11:

Select conic surface and then shoulder curve and then click Done.

  12. Step 12:

Select boundaries and then select the splines in DTM1 and DTM2 while holding down ctrl key.

  13. Step 13:

Now click on Shoulder curve and then select the splne on the top plane. And click done curves.

  14. Step 14:

Enter the conic parameter value. Let's enter a value of 0.7.

  15. Step 15:

Click OK and surface is generated.
