Tutorial: how to model a spiral in Solid Edge

The spiral is modeled with a sweep command.

1. Step 1:

   First you must draw the spiral path on a sketch. Be careful that the different arcs are connected and have a tangent constraints one to the other.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Then draw the spiral cross section in a sketch normal to the spiral path (use the appropriated option when you position the sketch plane).
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Use the sweep command with the single path option.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Then select the path first and the cross section next.
