KeyShot is a stand-alone, real-time ray tracing and global illumination program used to create 3D renderings, animations and interactive visuals. It is a popular choice for designers, engineers, and marketing professionals because it is easy to use and produces photorealistic results quickly. The reference image can be found at: https://www.vitra.com/en-un/product/panton-chair The 3D Model and the render can be downloaded at: https://grabcad.com/library/panton-chair-82

The workbench from CATIA V5 is Imagine & Shape and for the file conversion I made use of Blender! The 3D model can be downloaded at: https://www.vitra.com/en-un/product/panton-chair

Differences between Assembly Design and DMU Kinematics

0 0 Beginner
The main difference between Assembly Design and Digital Mockup (DMU) Kinematics in CATIA is that Assembly Design is used to create static assemblies, while DMU Kinematics is used to create dynamic assemblies. In Assembly Design, the parts are constrained together using geometric constraints, such as coincident, parallel, and perpendicular. This allows the assembly to be moved and rotated, but it does not allow the parts to move relative to each other. In DMU Kinematics, the parts are connected together using kinematic joints, such as revolute, prismatic, and cylindrical joints. These joints allow the parts to move relative to each other in a specific way.

Freecad tutorial - Drawing a slightly more complex sketch

In this FreeCAD tutorial I will draw a part that has a slightly more complex sketch. I used Part Design and Sketcher workbench to model this part. This tutorial is not for absolute beginners. I used FreeCAD 0.21 to create this tutorial.

CATIA V5 - Assembly Design tutorial
