12V 30 Ah BMS (Selection)

Hi! This is Sushil Kumar. I have good experience in Lithium-ion batteries R&D and I work all types of lithium-ion batteries like 2, 3, 4 wheeler batteries. In this tutorial I tell you guys "How to select BMS for your lithium-ion batteries.

In this tutorial you will learn you to select BMS (Battery Management System) for your Lithium-ion battery packs. As per your battery specifications. You have to select your BMS.

For example:
You are using LFP cells. So, you have to use LFP BMS for your battery packs. As per you battery "voltage" and "Ampere". You should select your BMS. If you battery having 4 series and 5 parallel. So you have to select a BMS " 4S 30A".

Also, notice that what your battery C-rating. C- rating means how much Ah you are taking for charging and discharging.

  1. Step 1: 12V 30A BMS (Selection)

In this photo you can see that making for BMS in side you can see some pins are their your BMS sensing wire. Here is two more wires for Battery negative and Pack negative. Battery negative (B-) is for Final negative wire of your overall battery negative wire of your battery pack. Pack negative (P-) is for overall pack negative connection with your soft pack.

In this BMS you can see some specification (4S 30A / LFP BMS / Dis. Current 30A) This means that this BMS is suitable for 4 series = 12V packs, 30 A is peak charging or discharging current, LFP pack support and it's max discharging rate is 30A.
