Tutorial - Analysis of Bracket in ANSYS Workbench?

Here is the tutorial.

1. Step 1:

   Start ANSYS Workbench.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Double click Static Structural.
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Input Name Bracket.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Right click Geometry >> Import geometry >> Browse.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Select the bracket.igs file.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Right click Model and select update.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   The model is updated and it's OK.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   Double click Setup.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   The Mechanical windows shows up.
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Click Loads >> force.
    

    

11. Step 11:

    Input Magnitude = -1000.
    

    

12. Step 12:

    Select the surface and then click apply for geometry.
    

    

13. Step 13:

    Define the direction to downward.
    

    

14. Step 14:

    Now click Supports >> Fixed Support.
    

    

15. Step 15:

    Hold down CTRL key and select the hole surface. Click apply in details.
    

    

16. Step 16:

    Now we have to define which results we want. Right click Solution >> Insert >> Stress >> von-Mises.
    

    

17. Step 17:

    Add Deformation >> Total also.
    

    

18. Step 18:

    Click Solve to start solution.
    

    

19. Step 19:

    After the solution is completed we have tick marks in Solution.
    

    

20. Step 20:

    Select Equivalent Stress to view the plot.
    

    

21. Step 21:

    Select Total Deformation for deformation plot.
