Tutorial - Analyzing the rod for von-mises stress using Mechanica in Creo Elements/Pro?
Here is the tutorial.

Step 1:
Start Creo Elements/Pro in Part mode.

Step 2:
Sketch>>Top Plane and draw a circle of 20mm diameter.

Step 3:
Extrude it by 200mm.

Step 4:
Applications>>Mechanica.

Step 5:
Click OK with default settings.

Step 6:
Insert>>Displacement Constraints.

Step 7:
Select front face and click OK. This will fix all the DOFs of the front face.

Step 8:
Insert>>Force/Moment Load.

Step 9:
Select the other face of the rod. And Enter an value of 10000 in X at Force and click OK.

Step 10:
Properties>>material.

Step 11:
Select Steel and Click >>> button.

Step 12:
Properties>>material assignment.

Step 13:
Keep default settings and click OK.

Step 14:
Analysis>>Mechanica Analysis/Studies.

Step 15:
Click File Menu and then New Static.

Step 16:
Keep the default setting for now and click OK.

Step 17:
Click the green flag to run the analysis. OK.

Step 18:
Click Analysis menu and then Results.

Step 19:
Click this icon.

Step 20:
Select the analysis1 file just created and Click Open. A dialogue window will appear click OK and Show.

Step 21:
The von-mises stress distribution is shown.

Step 22:
Click that icon again and under display options check deformed and click OK and Show.

Step 23:
Now we can see the deformed and undeformed state of the rod under load.
