Tutorial - Modeling center block (universal joint) in SolidWorks?

Here is the tutorial.

  1. Step 1:

    Front Plane>>Sketch.

  2. Step 2:

    Draw two circles of dia 56mm and 32mm.

  3. Step 3:

    Extrude it in both directions. Towards front direction the distance be 28mm and towards back direction the distance be 82mm.

  4. Step 4:

    Select top plane and then reference geometry >> plane.

  5. Step 5:

    Offset it by 28mm in downwards.

  6. Step 6:

    Plane1>>Sketch.

  7. Step 7:

    Draw a circle of 56mm dia. The circle is tangent to three edges.

  8. Step 8:

    Extrude it by 110mm.

  9. Step 9:

    Top face>>Sketch.

  10. Step 10:

    Draw a circle of 32mm dia.

  11. Step 11:

    Extrude cut it by Through all.

  12. Step 12:

    Select the back face>>Sketch.

  13. Step 13:

    Select the inner edge and then click Convert entities.

  14. Step 14:

    Extrude cut by thorugh all.

  15. Step 15:

    And we have the part body.
